Easy New Year's Eve Prank

Here's a simple New Year's prank you can pull, and all you need is a DVR system on your TV that will let you pause a live broadcast.



While everyone in the house is watching the New Year's Eve countdown, be sure you have the DVR remote hidden in your hand.



As your family counts down the last seconds to the new year -- "10! 9! 8! 7! 6!" -- you quietly press pause on the DVR remote control. The TV broadcast will freeze, and everyone will freak.



As everyone frantically looks around the room for the remote control, pretend to join in the search, while hiding it under the sofa.



After a few minutes of looking, see if you can secretly press the "rewind" button to start running the countdown backward.
